Remedial massage works deeply into the layers of muscle tissue to release chronic tension in the body. Treatment aims to improve the movement in your joints, reduce muscle tension in tight muscles and reduce pain. Our massage therapists can target any specific problem areas that you may have. Our therapists use a wholistic approach and may use stretching techniques and recommend exercises to get the most out of each session. The depth or “pressure” used is varied depending on the region, degree and type of pain that the client is experiencing as well as the clients preferred pressure.
Remedial Massage
Relaxation massage is the perfect way to experience a deep sense of relaxation. This style of massage can relax the entire nervous system and is beneficial in the treatment of emotional and physical stress, assisting to relieve tension from the muscles and improve lymphatic drainage. Gift vouchers are available.
Pre- and Post- Natal Massage
Regular massage in the Pre- and post-natal periods can assist with the many physical and emotional changes that occur during and after pregnancy. A combination of long, flowing strokes and deeper strokes are used to treat common muscular tensions, such as neck pain, headaches and lower back pain, often experienced as a result of pregnancy and breast feeding. Massage can also reduce peripheral swelling caused by fluid retention. The relaxation experienced during the massage is extremely beneficial and soothing to the nervous system, which can help you to get some much needed rest.
